The Stiperstones is an absolute must if you enjoy walking. For keen amblers it is within walking distance from the lodge or alternatively drive up the hill and park in its dedicated car park. There are hilly and flat walking options and it is well worth clambering to the top to visit the Devil's Chair and Shepherd's Rock. Beware of walking up there if you can't see the Devil's Chair. Legend has it that the Devil will be sitting on it. However, in all seriousness, you could become dangerously lost. One of our favourite things to do is to take off our shoes and socks and walk over the path rocks in bare feet as it is amazingly invigorating.
