The train is a classic Durango activity, tickets are available at Durangotrain.com, book in advance as they fill up fast! Next door to the train station is a free train history museum. It’s the old roundhouse, now filled with local and railroad history- and even a full size steam engine for viewing! If you’re already a trainiac you’ll love it, and if not you’ll be one soon :)

Take a train ride up to silverton! History abounds on this train as well as beautiful scenery you can only see by train.
