If you would like to take a day trip to a safe place in Mexico. Head over to Progresso, don’t forget you passport!!!. Experience a little bit of culture and enjoy food and drinks.

If you want to visit Mexico for an afternoon of good food, great drinks, live music, and cultural shopping Progreso, Mexico is the safest place to go. Highly recommend walking across the bridge, make sure you have your passport to cross back.

Progreso is right across the border. Locals pay a few dollars (cash) to park on the U.S side and walk about 5 minutes across the border to experience a glimpse into Mexico. Vendors, restaurants and bars are easily accessible! (And extremely affordable)
