Ad appena un quarto d'ora dalla Casa di Nonna si trova lo spettacolare Ponte Sospeso delle Ferriere, di quasi 230 mt di lunghezza, che collega il paese di Mammiano a quello di Popiglio, dall'altra parte del versante. E' il posto adatto per rifarsi gli occhi (in tutta sicurezza) e per sperimentare la sensazione di camminare sospesi a 32 mt dal suolo... esperienza che -essendo tra i ponti sospesi più lunghi al mondo- non è da tutti i giorni.

The bridge, one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world, was built almost one century ago as a shortcut for workers who had to cross the valley and the Lima stream. Opened in 1922 it’s 220 meters long and its highest point is 40 meters. It is made with steel cables anchored to rocks by heavy chains, with side tie rods that make it more secure and it is just less than a meter wide.
