The best part of the park is that it is the roosting spot for over 200 parrots. Every evening, close to dusk, parrots of multiple species (red-crowned amazons, white-fronted amazons, red-lored amazons, and others) flock here to go to bed. There is no other place in the continental USA where you can see a huge flock of wild parrots like this. They are a hidden treasure of our town, please go see them (but respect their space and freedom). This public-access municipal park also has normal attractions like sports fields for soccer, baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts, even a skate park. It has multiple playground/swingsets for children of all ages.
