Do I need a license to take my guests to public areas or monuments in Miami?
No. Generally, you don’t need a license or permit to provide guided visits of public areas or monuments in Miami.
Do I need permission to give my guests a tour of buildings or attractions in Miami?
Maybe. You may need permission to provide guided tours of private buildings, certain public buildings or attractions which are open to the public, or to provide tours in certain areas of the city. Most of the sights or attractions you plan to showcase probably have a website or office number where you can learn more about guided visits; be sure to check with each location before bringing Guests on a guided visit.
What do I need to do if I’m taking my guests to a park?
The National Parks Service manages Biscayne National Park in Miami. If you plan to take Guests sightseeing (or snorkeling or SCUBA diving) in Biscayne, you’ll need a Commercial Use Authorization (“CSU”) from the National Parks Service. To get a CSA, you’ll need to have business insurance listing the National Park Service as an additional insured. To apply, contact the Biscayne Permit Coordinator’s office at 786-335-3639.
