Great food here, the greens are grown by the owners organically and are incredibly tasty, so just a side salad tastes full of life and is also well dressed! Great place to eat lunch or supper. (probably best to book if wanting supper or Sunday lunch) Also to walk nearby and end up here for sandwiches and excellent chips.

This is a beautiful venue only yards from the house. The garden (which you can enter by the steps in the car park) is a wonderful place to sit for a coffee or a drink and enjoy the views. They do lunch and evening meals ££

This place is so much fun! It's only £5 to get in and there's so much to look at. The pub in the village is designed by him too and has good food, although the village also has a good delicatessen which is worth a visit. You can buy a snack or cake and sit by the river near the bridge. Paddling is possible, people swim in one of the pools too.

Both this place and its parent nursery The Derwen garden are worth a visit if you are interested in gardening. You can combine them with a visit to the gardens at Powis Castle.

Fantastic place to spend the day. So many independent shops and cafes and pubs, plus a wonderful castle and walks through adjacent woodland. Recommend Csons down by the river for a snack or meal, but there are many good places... other suggestions welcome!

Unique book and gift shop, right opposite the town hall in BC, full of interesting things. it is arranged on the principle of ailments which can be treated with sled help books, poetry, mugs, bottles of 'pills' which contain inspiring quotes. You can eat in the cafe too.
