Couples, Families, & Business Travelers only, please. Perched on top of a colossal granite boulder sits this idyllic cottage for your magical retreat in Julian. Originally constructed as a tiny hunting lodge in 1930, the Cottage on the Rock was completely rebuilt from top-to-bottom in 2020 for the modern Californian. Rustic touches remain, but once you check-in you’ll quickly discover you’re “not exactly roughing it.” This is that listing where everything has been thought of. Come enjoy!
Away from the daily hustle and bustle, this historical California Ranch style house has lots of character, and is nearly off the grid. A mix of the original 1940's Adobe home, and an updated and beautiful interior, adds a unique touch to this peaceful ranch house. The unheated pool provides an escape from the summer heat, and the wood fireplace is perfect for the cold winter nights. Beautiful views from every room, and a breathtaking display of stars at night. We highly recommend a 2 night stay.
This was a cattleman's bunkhouse at the turn of the century. The structure is made of adobe, wood and stone and is located on the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa National Monument. It borders with the San Bernardino National Forest and is across the highway from hiking and equestrian trails. The structure is about 200 sq. feet with a kitchenette and bathroom with full shower. Also on the property is a public art gallery Robert Ferguson Fine Art and artists studio. The bed is either a king or 2 twins.
