Always a warm welcome on our small farm high on the beautiful Kent Downs! South of Canterbury Straw Cottage is a perfect base to explore many attractions. We built Straw Cottage in 2014 from local straw bales. We hope you find the cottage a comfortable place to enjoy a lazy breakfast on the decking or relax with a glass of wine in the cosy house after a days sightseeing. You are most welcome to explore the farm and meet our friendly donkeys, alpacas, sheep, pigs, chickens and other animals.

Tranquil grade II listed barn next to windmill

Built in the 1600s, Miller's Barn looks on to one of Kent's last working windmills. It's on the Minnis, where cattle and sheep graze. An idyllic and tranquil spot, 8 miles from the historic city of Canterbury. The Miller's Barn is only 500m from a great pub (with fabulous fish n' chips) and a very friendly, well stocked village shop which has everything you may need during your stay. The windmill is open every Sunday and bank holidays throughout the summer for guided tours and cream teas.

Dilly Cottage on Elmfield Farm near Canterbury

Why not come and meet our friendly donkeys, alpacas, sheep, chickens etc on our small farm high on the Kent Downs. Tucked away in the beautiful countryside it is easy to access Canterbury, Folkestone and Dover. Locally there are many places to visit including Castles, Safari Parks, beaches and the historic city of Canterbury with its many attractions. Beautiful walks on marshes, forests, downs and white cliffs. Dogs are welcome in Dilly and Gilt Cottages.
