Tulip farm/Cycling through the tulip fields
I know, riding a bicycle through blooming tulip fields it’s such a Dutch cliché, but I can also tell you that these clichés are so popular for a reason: they are truly breathtaking and there is no better place to be in springtime than the Dutch countryside.
We will meet at Amsterdam Centraal station and from there we’ll go by car ( electric one! ) to Hillegom. In only 30 minutes we’ll find ourselves among the beautiful flower fields!
Then we’ll hop on our bikes and start our 2 hours ride through the picturesque Dutch villages and flower fields. Soon after, we’ll reach our destination - a tulip farm where you will find out everything about growing and caring for tulips. Of course, you get to let loose your inner florist and make your own bouquet that you can take home afterward.
We will have a coffee/tea break and home made apple pie at a local restaurant.
Then we’ll head back to the parking with as many stops for pictures as you like. The route is easy and the terrain is plain, so you do not need to be a very skilled cyclist.

Share a home cooked 4 course traditional dutch dinner with us, created from fresh and local ingredients.
Let's talk about the things we care about. Ask anything you want to know about Amsterdam (Olav is a guide too). And maybe meet a few other guests, from whatever country they come from.

Appreciate the beauty of Amsterdam as you walk to and from our place, located in the old heart of Amsterdam.
As we say: "There are no strangers, just friends you haven't met yet". So, come on in, and let the good times roll.
Cycling through Old Holland's countryside with windmills
You will set off in a small group by bike through Amsterdam's best-kept secret, the Westzijderveld. This area, with wet meadows that lie just above, or even below, the water table, is a paradise for meadow birds. A farm landscape with long ditches, pollard-willows and cows, turning mills and swaying reed beds is . An example of a truly typical Dutch landscape.
When you cycle over the dike, you feel the wind blowing and you look almost beyond the horizon, where the windmills are turning. You visit a working windmill, where you can experience the power of a windmill yourself. The miller will also be happy to answer your questions. This area is only accessible by bike, there are no groups of tourists here and it is therefore a unique experience.
Next, you will cycle through an authentic neighborhood with working-class houses. You will see with your own eyes how people used to live there and also pass the rich merchant houses with their beautiful decorations.
Finally you will visit the Zaanse Schans, where you will see how they make clogs and there is extensive opportunity to taste the Dutch cheese delicacy.
A great opportunity to experience the dutch landscape, history and culture.

Amsterdam's market street food tour
How much fun would it be if in every destination we visited in the world, a local friend showed up to take us to all the best places to eat, places which we would never have discovered otherwise?
A dream come true, right?!
This is exactly why we have created this tour for travellers with an appetite and curiosity for food, who want to explore the city and culture through local flavors and places.
Amsterdam is a city that feels like a village, everything is close and within walking distance that’s it’s charm.
If you take a step or two outside of the tourist centre, the city’s neighbourhoods reveal an abundance of cultures from the east and west that have come to the Netherlands over the years, bringing with them their customs, diversity,
and of course the food!
Street food has long become part of our daily routine and in a city with cultures as diverse and
varied as Amsterdam, the possibilities for authentic food are endless!
We invite you to take part in the journey of flavors and wonderful stories that this
city has to offer and join us on an adventure.
We’ve gathered the best of the best of foods, places, and stories that make us smile and our stomachs growl just by thinking about it. 3 hours, some stories and lots of food, so don’t say we didn’t tell you to come hungry.
Vegetarians are welcome of course!
Food restrictions or allergies?
Please update us before booking.
The Ultimate Canal Cruise
Welcome aboard Airbnb's original Amsterdam Canal Cruise!
We invite you for a 2 hour all-inclusive adventure aboard one of our personally restored, yacht quality, boutique electric boats.
With our main focus on quality, we keep to a small group of guests to ensure a spacious and personalised premium experience.
This cruise is perfect for couples, small groups of friends, families and solo travellers. Please note we only allow over 18's on this tour, our Premium Amsterdam Canal Cruise is a perfect tour for families with younger children.
During The Ultimate Amsterdam Canal Cruise you’ll be presented with an extensive selection of Dutch snacks, to match our high-end open bar with seasonal local craft beers from various Amsterdam breweries, handpicked quality wines, soft drinks and juices.
We will share plenty of fun facts about Amsterdam, but will not overwhelm you with too much information and constant talking, like a typical tour might leave you more exhausted than when you arrived.
Our aim is to leave you relaxed, well informed and fully content. Seeing many of our guests ending the cruise with new found friends validates this for us.
Depending on the time of year, we switch things up a little and add those special extra touches to make our cruises even more fun and to complement each of the seasons we enjoy here in our beautiful city!
Zaanse Schans & Zaandam with electric bikes
There’s nothing better than spending a day riding through the the countryside of Holland. A short ferry ride and an easy 20-minute cycle through the north of the city and we’ll reach the Waterlands. Soon it’s cows and farmers’ signs offering up freshly made ice-cream and milk.
There are plenty of photo opportunities as we cruise through the countryside en route to the Dutch Heritage site of the Zaanse Schans where you'll you’ll have free time to explore, snap photos, checkout cheese and clog stalls, or visit the first ever Albert Heijn.
Our return journey will bring us back to town via Zaandam and its famous Intelhotel made from nearly 70 traditional Zaanse-style wooden houses.
Since we'll spend most of our time outside the city, the stress of biking in Amsterdam will be minimized.
The Netherlands is relatively flat, one does not need to be in top shape to partake but the ability to be physically active over the course of the tour is recommended. The use of electric bikes on this tour will certainly help make the roughly 40km tour a breeze.
Note:
You must be able to ride a bike to take this experience.
Tour runs come rain, shine or both, this is Amsterdam after all. Please come prepared.
A small bag with a water bottle or light snack is recommended.
