The house is also 12 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and on the edge of the Washington National Forest.There are many trails here (some even just across the street) so if you come to hike, you are in the right place!

It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. 15min to Town of Bedford and D-Day Memorial. 35min to Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Smith Mtn Lake. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign).

Minutes from the breweries and wineries on Nelson 151. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The George Washington National Forest is across the street for exploring, hiking and hunting. The house is only 4 miles from Crabtree Falls and several minutes from the Appalachian Trail access. Wintergreen Resort is 12 miles away.
