This park has featured often in the Dr Beach Best Beaches in the USA list. 1000s of acres of parkland with no construction on - other than the old fort and picnic shelters and an information centre and shop. You can find a quiet place here to get away, rent bikes and kayaks, run the miles and miles of trails on bikes, skates, feet! Glorious sunsets from the fort over the Gulf. Take enough food and charcoal for the day and stay from sun up to sunset. There is a charge of $5 a car for access, no charge for visitors on foot. Favorite spot for us - North Beach end of the parking lot. walk to the sand. Great for nature, birding, exploring the mangroves in a boat, fishing, shelling.

See the history of this town, which is very Greek in nature, from the huge influx of Greek immigrants who came for the sponge diving when the Mediterranean industry was suffering. Best place for Greek food.

Great outlet mall, about 45 mins drive from condo but well worth the visit. Avoid Black Friday, its a nightmare to get off the highway!

Scores of restaurants from expensive to casual street food. Marina has boat trips too. Some lovely places to eat right on the sand or with stunning water views.
