A popular family beach with Manorbier Castle overlooking it. There are toilets in the car park but no shop or café close to beach so take your own picnic! Good for surfing if the conditions are right but there are no lifeguards. Plenty of rock-pools and a nice wide but shallow stream running into the sea. There are scenic cliff walks and if you take the coastal path to the right of the beach and go over the headland you will come to another beach called Swanlake Bay, which can also be accessed by road by parking at Swanlake Bay tearooms which are found at Swanlake Bay Farm.

Barafundle Bay - A small bay backed by dunes and pine trees, accessible only by a half mile walk from the nearest car park. Swathes of golden sand and crystal clear waters, Barafundle has been voted many, many times as one of the best beaches in Britain and the world; it’s often likened to a Caribbean beach! This pristine beach is isolated which means no facilities; so everything you take has to come back again. Nearest car park is Stackpole Quay.

Broad Haven South - A wide sandy bay backed by dunes that lead from The National Trust owned Bosherston Lily ponds. Explore the boulders and ‘island’ on the west side to discover caves and springs gushing out of the cliffs. The convoluted low cliffs on the east side have a few small caves at low tide. The clean stream emptying out of the lily ponds runs along this side and is perfect for small children to play in. There’s also a good rock for jumping off at high tide. There’s ample parking above the beach in the National Trust car park (£4 per day) or in Bosherston village by the church for those with wheelchairs or push chairs. It’s a 1 mile walk to the beach if you come from the village but it does take you through the picturesque lily ponds.
