SAND DOLLAR: (In Chinatown) Las Vegas’s oldest music bar. On a bad night, at the very least you’re going to hear some great music. Check their website for band listings. It’s about a 5-minute walk down the street towards the strip from the Golden Tiki. Drinks are reasonably priced too! Hidden in the Sand Dollar is a pizza kitchen that has incredible pizza. Pool tables and video poker.

It’s about a 5-minute walk down the street towards the strip from the Golden Tiki. Drinks are reasonably priced too! Hidden in the Sand Dollar is a pizza kitchen that has incredible pizza. Pool tables and video poker.
Vamped: On the weekends this bar has some of the best cover bands in town and caters to rock and heavy metal music. A great time, typical bar food, and some wicked cocktails—try one called “vampire blood”.

There’s quite a scene on the weekend –that could be because they serve up giant mimosas for the table; an entire bottle of champagne is used! You can order an individual one as well or anything else from their full bar. Solid breakfast spot they also have great burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch.

3945 S Durango DrThis is another great sushi restaurant in the neighborhood. So fresh and reasonably priced. Cute hole in the wall. I've been going there for over a decade now and just recently learned there's a hidden restaurant in the back, by reservation only called HARI-Sushi Kaiseki.
Anyone on the west coast knows this place has the best happy hour/dinner spot for cheap eating if you adore tapas this is your jam.
But not many people know this place has a great cheap sunday bunch too because again, everything is served tapas Style. I really love their ricotta blueberry lemon pancakes for brunch and it’s like six dollars are you kidding me…?! ..yes please!

Hobak: Korean BBQ restaurant that is also a steakhouse --you know you’re being fed a superior cut of meat. The quality is more than most Korean BBQs. They ensure the food is cooked correctly in front of you, and the restaurant has a fun, modern interior. This place has the best steak I have ever had in my life, it just melts in your mouth—I think it was the marinated ribeye on the menu.
