This is the best managed Orang Utan Centre in the world. It is also the place where one can watch a Orang Utan in its natural habitat easily. A place to learn about Orang Utan conservation and the danger they have to face in their natural habitat. It is only 12 km from my place and you can easily go there by hailing a Grabcar. It is best to negotiate with the driver to wait for you and drive you back home after you have finished with your activity.

The place where Proboscis Monkeys are the king there. They romp freely in the mangrove forest and only come to the place for food. They don't hang around too long so be there before the feeding time start.

Arguably the best temple in Sabah with a magnicifient view of the entire Sandakan Bay. The temple itself is nothing sort of a grandeur with its 3 Buddha statues and dragons coiling the pillars inside the temple. The temple was renovated in 2017 and everything inside the temple look new and fresh. A new pagoda is in the midst of construction but it will be a fe more year before you can climb up the stairs to check out the pagoda.
