Great restaurant on the Royal Mile. We have only ever been at lunchtime as they have a fantastic set menu. Off piste and it can start to get a little pricey. Food has always been excellent. NOTE: suggest pre-booking in peak periods. If you are having a romantic meal, there is a little table for two overlooking the close but we have yet to be organised enough to book in advance.

A firm favourite! We love this place which has a terrific menu plan or a la carte. We normally go for the 3 course menu and are never disappointed. It is advised to book ahead. Bon appetite!

Decent Scottish food. We also really like Table 17 which only seats two on wooden booth seats but we love the view of the dining room. If its haggis, neeps and tatties you are after, its quite yummy.

We just recommend comfortable walking shoes and dressing in layers if it is cold, wet or windy as it is a big castle and you will also want to be outside enjoying the amazing views. Lady's Lodge looks up to the oldest part of the castle.
