Quintin is a picturesque town with cobbled streets and beautiful old buildings. There is an excellent weekly market every Tuesday morning and parking is free. Their homemade paella is amazing.

It is famous for its ramparts and stained glass windows and its medieval fair held bi-annually in August. The creperie Au Coin de Feu serves the most delicious salmon and leek galletes and the restaurant La Mulette is famed for its seafood.

The island, also known as the Island of Flowers, is famous for its pink granite rocks, very mild micro-climate and Mediterranean vegetation, due to the warm Gulf Stream coming from across the Atlantic.
Many day-trippers travel to Brehat every day by the ferry service (les Vedettes de Bréhat) in order to escape modern life on a beautiful island where motor vehicles are banned.
Whilst there don't forget to visit the main tourist attractions, the Paon & Rosedo lighthouses, the St-Michel chapel, the Guerzido beach, the Birlot water-mill and the Verrerie of Bréhat [glass works].

A wide sandy beach, with a promenade running the length of the beach, makes Plage des Rosaires a perfect day out for families. Great for water sports too. And it's only a 25-minute drive from the house! Great food at a reasonable price at Le West Coast.
