Located at 44th & McClelland Boulevard, McClelland Park is one of Joplin's premier parks. Featuring a 27-hole disc golf course, playground, picnic pavilion with grills, and public restrooms, this park has something for everyone. Of note, this is an absolute must-visit for any avid disc golfer! (If you are interested in playing disc golf, please let us know and we can provide you with some starter discs to use for the day!)

Neosho National Fish Hatchery is the oldest operating federal fish hatchery in the United States. Established in 1888, the hatchery is located in the Ozark Mountain Region of southwest Missouri. It is one of 70 hatcheries operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with a mission to conserve and protect our nation’s fishery resources.
The hatchery grounds remain open until 10:00 pm. The visitor center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m and Saturday/Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The hatchery is closed during all federal holidays. Please check online to verify the hatchery is open prior to visiting.
Note: You can call ahead and reserve a tour with one of their fish biologists, which will allow you to enter their endangered pallid sturgeon buildings.

The site preserves the boyhood home of George Washington Carver and consists of a 3/4 mile nature trail, film, museum, and interactive exhibit area. It is open year-round from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM... but we suggest calling ahead to confirm these hours!
