Cozy private room with private access (through shop/gym). The entire 1st floor has been converted into a private apartment. Please note: Photo shows entire house including your floor and owners' upper levels. Chalet is located in Ptarmigan Village - resort community with all the amenities. 5 min from ski hill, 10 min to downtown. Free continental breakfast. Sorry, no guests with pets - village regulation. Pool and sauna open. Glacier Park and Whitefish Mtn Resort now open.

Private room with queen bed, down comforter and soft cotton sheets.
Newly remodeled private bath with fluffy towels. Large shower has twin shower heads. Save water - shower with a friend : ).
Private entrance leads you into the gym (with several machines and free weights) and breakfast nook (with mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster). This gym area is also private for your use only.
Lots of trees, green-space, and hiking trails right out the door. We have Hulu TV.

This neighborhood is right on Big Mountain. Big Mountain is home to Whitefish Mountain Resort (ranked in the Top 10 North American Ski Resorts - Ski Magazine 2017). The home is located in Ptarmigan Village - a resort community complete with year-round heated indoor pool, (outdoor pool and tennis courts in summer), and year-round heated outdoor hot tub. These facilities are a 5 minute walk from the house. There is also a coin-op laundry which is even closer to home. Additionally, the village owns a nearby private beach on incredible Whitefish Lake. Great place to go for a picnic or a swim. The resort is in a forested area with a pond, streams, and hiking trails. It borders Flathead National Forest. It is a 5 minute drive to the ski area base lodge and ski lifts, a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Whitefish, a 20 minute drive to the Kalispell (FCA) airport, and about a 50 minute drive to Glacier National Park - "Jewel of the Continent".

In the winter, I teach skiing and boarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
I was ranked by Ski Magazine as one of the top instructors in the country.
In the summer, I manage and guide at my own rock climbing school:

I am relatively new to hosting and very excited for this opportunity. I am a traveler myself and have literally traveled around the world (by plane, train, bus, and oxen cart). In the past couple of years, my adventures have included surfing in Nicaragua, scuba diving in Cozumel and in Egypt (Red Sea), and rock climbing in Vegas (Red Rock Canyon) and in Spain.

I am looking forward to meeting people from around the world. It has some of the advantages of travelling without leaving home. That said, we are very respectful of your personal space and will not intrude upon your vacation.

My wife and I will be upstairs on the main floor if you need us. I have worked at the ski area as an instructor for the last 18 years and can give you information on the area as well as the local pubs and restaurants. We will not intrude upon your private space except to replenish your continental breakfast items and to empty trash in breakfast bar area and in the bathroom. You will find clean towels in the bathroom and clean sheets on the bed. These will be changed each week (more often if needed and requested).
