Please dont book! This is a unfinished draft listing. Mountford House and it's garden are hidden down a pedestrian passage at the rear of three Tudor buildings on the High Street of the lovely market town of Welshpool. The location is superb: all facilities - restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets on the doorstep but the house and garden are utterly quiet. Its backs on to the boundary wall of National Trusts Powis castle estate.

Mountford House is a Victorian detached house with a private garden. It has two double bedrooms, double bed in each, a bathroom with a shower and downstairs, as seen in the photographs, a dining kitchen and a sitting room with a wood burner.

This is an outstanding location with Powis Castle grounds just around the corner. That includes the deer park with 24 hour access. The castle and it's gardens are an outstanding National Trust property.

The railway runs from Welshpool up the coast. The coast is sublime - Aberdovy , Bsrmouth...It's the Cambrian Line and has been described as one of the world's senic railways. Alternatively Welshpool is an hour from Ludlow, a wonderful historic town dominated by its Castle and many numerous pretty villages in Shropshire. ("Clunton, and Clunbury, Clungford and Clun, are the quietest places under the sun"). This was the March: the border between Wales and England. It has more castles than anywhere in Europe.

Shrewsbury its self is a half hour, an easy train journey too.

The country side is gentle, small fields, many trees and pastoral.
