Successful development efforts of the local council in the longer term have led to Quality improvements and upgraded the Touristic Image of the Village, renovation of the old Churches, facades of old buildings, new local authority offices, a stone-paved path running along the river that crosses the village, a Theater atrium for events, community playground, a mini football stadium and a Training/Seminar Centre, the development of a museum and the renovation of the premises of an old watermill to a museum and operated for public viewing.
Permanent residents are only a hundred persons, but the fact that the village is only a short distance from the city of Limassol, gave the opportunity to people to renovate and even expand their family properties and use them for vocations and a place to spend quality time with family and friends.
In the recent years a growing number of some foreign families, English, Scandinavian and Russian, elderly couples /pensioners and younger families with children have chosen the Village as a permanent or holiday place, the same is happening in the nearby villages.

Furthermore contacts with the community councils, other relevant authority offices and networks have been made and specific information on their attractions, visiting procedures and timetables, annual events and festivals has been gathered.
All this experience, information and contacts have been organised for the easiness of the Tourist and will be provided innovatively to the Guests as part of the Genuine Hospitality Culture that the project is pursuing to achieve.
