Welcome To Our Jungle - This Tourism Board Approved Gold Standard custom built vacation home with FREE HIGH SPEED WI-FI is set in a secure 1.5 acre gated compound, along with two other vacation homes, each strategically sited for optimal privacy and with over 100 trees and shrubs on the grounds you're soon whisked away to another world.

Your large open plan (studio) home offers:
KITCHEN with double door fridge/freezer, 4 ring stove with oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the pots, pans. crockery and cutlery, sink with drainer and of course hot & cold water. A small table with seating for two.
BEDROOM with ceiling fan, you have a queen size orthopedic pillow top mattress, bedside tables with lamp, pedestal fan, and naturally all your bedding and blankets are supplied.
OTHER: Love seat, small tv with over 200 cable channel's.

Separate to your studio area you will find:
BATHROOM with whirlpool bath - lots of jets and bubbles ! a over the bath shower , wash basin with hot & cold water, toilet and of course bath towels, hand towels, face cloth's along with hand soap
CLOSET: large walk in closet with plenty of hanging space and a large chest of drawers
BALCONY wrap round balcony with seating for two and a hammock
OTHER POINTS, free parking, all windows and door have insect mesh, undercounter water filtration system
A small selection of tea bags, filtered coffee provided on arrival, enough for your first morning !

Sanpopo is within walking distance of town, the market, Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins and Green Iguana Conservation Project and if you don't feel like walking hop on one of the many taxi's (USD 2.50 a trip) that pass right by the entrance. With it's tree top setting in sub tropical gardens you will feel like you have been whisked away to another world, and it will feel like you are living in the jungle, close enough for you to enjoy the facilities of the town, but away from the hustle & bustle to allow you to get back in touch with nature. A mere 15-20 minute walk to Cahal Pech Maya Ruins and the Iguana Sanctuary and the famous Xunantunich is less than 8 miles away !

The Cayo district with it's countryside, hills, farms, streams and forest,
is an area rich in outdoor activities and sites offering experiences such as -
Maya Ruins, Iguana Sanctuary, Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Horse Back Riding Tours,
Macal River, Black Rock Lodge, Big Rock Falls, Rio Frio Caves,
River For Swimming, Tubing or canoeing, Jungle Activities Including Zip Lining
and all of this still less than two hours from the fantastic Caribbean Beach

The family home is 'on site' , and we live here all year round, you'll be pleased know we never leave the property unattended, and at least one of us is always on site, so you know your safe and there is always a friendly face around should you have questions or need assistance etc.
All our accommodations are registered with BTB (Belize Tourist Board) and are Gold Standard Approved which means we have to meet rigorous standards, so you can be assured our properties meet the required safety and building regulations including covid-19 safety protocol, have the relevant public liability insurance etc. and of course we pay have paid our taxes !
When considering accommodation in Belize please ask if they are registered with the BTB, for you own protection and piece of mind, also it actually is a legal requirement, don't support illegal operators, if in doubt ask for their registration number.

The rental unit is located on over a acre of sub tropical gardens, which also includes another 2 rentals the family home, there is always a family member on site to help with any questions / queries.
All pictures shown of the gardens and wildlife were taken by ourselves and on our property - what you see is exactly what you get
Guest review- The cabin and the whole property is very beautifully and well maintained. There are tons of hummingbirds around.. While I was there, there were birds, iguanas, a Toucan, tarantulas, butterflies and wild ducks making their way.... The whole property is a tiny bubble of tropical magic. Every member of the family was quite exceptional and I enjoyed exchanging with each one of them. They were eager to help me find my way, to give me tips and advise me in what way they could, but what I enjoyed the most about them is their passion and awe for the wild life in their own property; it quickly became contagious!-

We enjoyed staying in this cottage! It is a free standing structure surrounded by the beautiful garden with squirrels and iguanas! We miss our morning coffee at the balcony watching nature! The hosts were great, they helped to facilitate our tours and other requests we had to make our stay easy. We did ATM and cave tubing. Both were awesome! You are walking distance from the supermarkets if you are planning to use kitchen. It is not located in down town but close enough to walk.
