Nature’s Rest at Cataract Falls

Natures Studio is located on the property of the Cataract Falls Lodge. A one minute walk into the park and explore two of Indiana’s most spectacular waterfall features. Bring your adventurist spirit and explore. Within 45 minutes of the property there are two state parks, McCormick’s Creek and Turkey Run. The Lodge is 30 minutes from DePauw University and 50 minutes from IU and Indiana State University. Other attractions include Cagles Mill reservoir AKA Cataract Lake and Cowpokes Arena.

Numerous nearby attractions are sure to provide great experiences (Cataract Falls, Exotic Feline Rescue Center, Terre Haute Casino, state parks, brewery/winery, local shops/eateries, etc.) And of course, simply enjoying time in and around the cabin itself is a fulfilling getaway!

Pioneer Log Cabin on the Lake

Take a step back in time to a simpler way of life! Enjoy this log cabin that was originally built in the pioneer days. While the cabin retains the charm of the 1800's, it also has been updated with basic amenities like electricity, indoor plumbing, hot water, and everything you would expect from a modern cabin. Located on Cataract Lake, yards from a public boat launch, this is the perfect spot to get out onto the lake or just relax amongst the trees. Boat parking is provided on the property.

Welcome to “Maria’s Haven”💕 A beautiful cozy home in the heart of a beautiful small town. This home belonged to my mother, Maria, who passed away in 2020 to breast cancer. This home was truly her “Haven”. Take a walk to the local diner, museum, Gosport playground, local shops, or to our delicious Amish bakery. We are also just a few miles from the popular “Hilltop” restaurant as well as McCormicks Creek State Park. Our mission is to make you feel like you never even left home. ☺️

Relax in our quaint guesthouse. Have access to our beautiful farm and spacious barn. You will be staying on a working farm/vineyard. Walk in the woods back to the river or explore the orchard. Set up on the patio of the barn to watch the abundant wildlife or have a fire in the firepit. You can hang out in the barn, play games, or just relax. Things change here often as we are still building the winery, so come see what is new. Also visit the chickens, ducks , and turkeys.

Retreat to the woods in the Twinsprings Creamery Farmhouse on a working dairy farm. Tucked in a valley on 100 acres and surrounded by woods, the house is rustic and quaint with views of the breathtaking scenery. The simple farmhouse shares the valley with Twin Springs Creamery, including picturesque Jersey and other heirloom breed cows. This farm stay retreat is located just minutes from the westside of Bloomington and a quick, scenic 15 minutes to IU's campus.

Monroe County has 2 wineries & 3 lakes. We are 8 mi to Mccormick's Creek park, 5 mi to Monroe County fairgrounds, 4 mi to West side shopping and restaurants, 7 mi to Memorial Stadium, 8 mi to College mall, 19 mi to Fairfax beach, and 21 mi scenic drive to Nashville, IN.

A convenient 20 miles to downtown Bloomington & Indiana University.

Captain Bill’s Lake House/seasonal swimming pool

Captain Bill’s Lake House. This majestic A-frame is at the entrance to the Cataract Lake boat ramp. The house will accommodate up to 7 guests, with three bedrooms and two full baths. All guests have full access to Captain Bill’s shared heated pool and surrounding gardens. Boat parking is provided on the property, inquire for details. Heated pool is seasonal beginning Mid May through September.
