The cottages at Thurranes are 43 square meters. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a sleeping loft that fits 2 adults. The house can accommodate 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The house is equipped with a kitchen, where you find a little stove, a sink, a microwave and refrigerator. The living room has a couch and a small TV set. A small bathroom with a shower. Hot water, central heating but no WiFi A private hot tub, chairs and a gas BBQ are on the deck.

The house stands on 80 hectares of ground where you'll find beautiful views, scenic hiking trails, and spectacular natural beauty and tranquility all around, all year around. There is access to a private beach with private road to it. The area is sensitive in the summer time because of eider birds and needs to be treated carefully and with respect. Relax with the whole family at our peaceful and beautiful place. The country house is secluded and family-friendly located in Hvammsfjörður, the North part of Snæfellsnes. The location offers a really quiet atmosphere and authentic touch of the Icelandic nature. You will have a view over the bay Hvammsfjörður and out towards the beautiful Breiðafjörður. During winter our house offers exceptional view of the aurora borealis and during summer, the midnight sun is beautiful over the bay.

Originally the house was built in 1918. The house is 114 square meters in two floors. 1st floor: Hall with a stair, large bathroom with shower and 3 bedrooms and lounge with sleeping bed. 2nd floor: big kitchen, dining room, living room and small bathroom. In the big garden you will find patio with garden furniture and a Weber gas grill, hot tub, sauna and pergola which makes the place very special. It is very nice to relax in the hot tub and the sauna.

Our place is perfect for those that want to explore the Westfjords, with the three top destinations of the area within an hours drive. It is on the ground floor of our house, we live upstairs and are happy to provide information our guests might need for their traveling. The apartment is recently renovated and has great view over the fjord.
