25 mins to chairlift & 5 mins to downtown, with access to an amazing beach, a Jacuzzi hot tub time machine, Rancho Balsaccò North is central to both downtown Juneau & to pubs, food & historical hikes in Douglas. Walk the beach, watch the eagles, look for jumping fish with a fantastic view of Juneau. Ground level private entrance, comfortable new Queen bed & blackout blinds make it easy to sleep to the sound of the creek. The private road to our small beach front neighborhood adds to the charm.

River House: On Mendenhall River/Glacier(4 min dr)

We love our place on the Mendenhall River! Eagles, bears, deer, porcupine, and otters are common sights in the backyard while the soft rush of the glacier-fed stream provides a soothing background. We are located in the upper Mendenhall Valley, just a 5 minute drive from the Mendenhall Glacier & 3 minute walk to the Brotherhood Bridge trail which takes you into deep old forest almost immediately. The river is ever changing and always beautiful & peaceful. We are available, but don’t intrude.

AKNS Ocean View Room

The AKNS Ocean View Room is a 400 square foot studio. It includes a queen bed, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator & microwave, and a small table with 2 chairs. Wireless internet is included along with a smart HD streaming TV (no subscriptions). The bathroom has a tiled shower, towels & a hairdryer. It has a spectacular view of the ocean and our gardens. Its own entrance is down a short boardwalk from your off-street parking with easy access to the beach and our beach-front gazebo.

Experience this spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a stunning mountain lined channel view. Just across the street you will find a walking path that leads to a park for the little ones! Your getaway is centrally located between the Mendenhall Glacier and downtown shopping. You can sleep 8 comfortably, enjoy 2 living spaces and even study in the office. Be careful not to leave out your picnic basket as you may encounter one of our local neighbors but if you do give them their space!

The Tongass Treehouse sits about a hundred feet up in the lush rainforest canopy. Start your day with coffee while listening to eagles & whale watching from bed, the reading nook, living room or deck, then enjoy Juneau's best offerings - like remote glacier hikes or local shopping - all less than 15 minutes away, then return to luxurious comforts to relax at home & watch the sunset as flying squirrels & eagles play next to the deck. This private, tiny-house apartment with a cozy loft overlooks and provides access to the Mendenhall Wetlands State Game Refuge. Ample off-street parking allows you to park a few feet away from the apartment's entrance. Fast wifi included, and Eaglecrest Ski Area is only 5 miles away. Plenty of hiking/walking trails are close by, such as Fish Creek Park (popular fishing spot), Mt. Meek, Rainforest Trail, Outer Point Loop Trail and recreation area, and Pioneer Road.
