See Prague in a new light on a casual 5K run with me, a film maker, connecting with the city’s unique historical vibe—and hearing some stories about life in the movie business. • Meet at Prague Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we’ll discuss our pace and distance preferences to make sure everyone’s comfortable. Then we’ll warm up and stretch. • Set off on a jog through the city, passing landmarks like the Lesser Town, Jewish Quarter, Old Town Square. Along the way, I’ll share stories from the film sets I’ve worked on over the years. • Wrap up the run at the Charles Bridge, where you’ll have the option to have yourself drawn by a great caricaturist (my dad!) at a discount. You’ll leave with a stronger connection to the city, and maybe with a juicy tidbit about an A-lister or two.

Telltale Ghost Tour

Next to the Astronomical clock, you will meet your guide in a stylish historical costume, who will lead you into Old Town’s darkening alleys. There, you will be shown locations of dreadful discoveries, medieval graveyards, ancient churches and hospitals, as well as other places of Prague associated with the undead, demons and strange apparitions. The stories about them shaped the city’s self-perception for centuries! Through the lightly theatrical storytelling, you will familiarize yourself with the authentic creepy lore of the locals, but also learn a lot about the city’s past, as your guide will put the tales into historical context that further expands your understanding of Prague and its horrorful side. The tour makes stops at a handful of famous Prague landmarks (see under “Where you’ll be”) but also leads through picturesque areas off the beaten path with hidden gems. The Plague Doctor of Prague

After our success of the online version, seen by New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vogue and Forbes we are finally back on the streets with our live tour to explore the Black Death and plague in Prague of the 18th Century. You will explore the city with your personal plague doctor, our forgotten hero A. Schamsky who fought the Plague in 1713. In the original dress of a plague doctor we will take you on a journey through the different centuries for only one purpose: Surviving! A historical walk with shocking details of the pneunomic and bubonic plague. What have we learned from this and when did it all end? An interactive tour to the hidden gems of the old town. We´ll stop by at the old St. Francis hospital and conclude the tour at the convent of St. Agnes. The tour is interactive, hence your questions are more than welcome. Hike and Brewery in Bohemian Paradise Unesco geopark

If you’re looking to escape the city crowds and enjoy a relaxed day with a friendly local vibe, this experience is here for you! Small group, great beer and coffee, and pickup from your location—what else?! We are excited to take you off the beaten path and show you the hidden gems of the Bohemian Paradise UNESCO Geopark. This is the Czech Republic’s first nature reserve and the area where we grew up! After a 1-hour 20-minute drive, you’ll explore iconic rock formations rising from the forest and hike through an enchanting landscape filled with discoveries, including ancient castles, ruins, and lakes. You’ll love wandering through sandstone labyrinths (1.5–2 hours). Visit Hrubá Skála, an old castle built in the 1400s. Climb to the top of its medieval tower and take in breathtaking views of the Bohemian Paradise(1 hour). Feel like royalty as you enjoy lunch at a cozy castle restaurant! (Approximate cost: 260 CZK). To end the trip, I’ll take you to a local brewery where you’ll learn about Czech beer—our “liquid gold”—and enjoy a few large tastings (1 hour). The drive back to Prague takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. We typically return around 4–5 PM. Note: The brewery sometimes closes on weekends and rarely on weekdays. When that happens, we go to unique Monk's Beer Cavern. Bohemian Paradise recently inspired the creators of the famous PC game Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Making of a forged knife

Spend a day in a Czech countryside surrounded by beautiful nature. Step by step Petr will guide you to make a small multipurpose knife - it can be carving, pocket, for collecting mushrooms ... You will work in Petr's outside workshop situated in our garden. At the beginning, there will be just a piece of iron and wood. You will have all the the day to enjoy the process of transformation into your own handmade product. You wil start with forging, polishing and hardening blade, then you make a handle from wood of you choice - yew, ash or cherry wood. Finally you will complete the knife by self made rivets. Petr will first show you every step, then you will have enough time to make it by yourself. A maximum of 2 people can participate in the course, so it is very individual, no big groups. We are less than 15 minutes from Mala Skala or Jablonec nad Nisou, where you can arrive from Prague by public bus or train and we will pick you up. Also the beginning of the course can be anytime between 8 and 10 am when you book for two. Just let me know your needs.

Czech fruit dumplings in my kitchen

Join me in my kitchen to prepare a traditional czech dish / dessert - sweet fruit dumplings, that will kick your taste buds to heaven. First, we will start with some local refreshment, as cooking with a rumbling stomach is never a good idea. Then I'll teach you step by step how to prepare the dumplings with a seasonal fruit filling. And next, we will serve and eat what we've just prepared. Children are welcome! Feel free to come with kids, my kitchen is children-friendly :-) and moreover children are usually the biggest fans of this dish. I always try being local in my kitchen, as a way to support local farmers and be responsible to our planet. If you choose Wednesday for this experience, we can start at a local food market that takes place 3 min from my home and buy the ingredients together. It is a nice way to dive into local life a bit more. WARNING: The dish contains flour, cottage cheese, butter, sugar and fresh fruit. The recipe is NOT suitable for people on lactose-free or low carb diet. However, it can easily be adjusted to gluten-free diet by using buckwheat flour.
