Walt's Retreat

Home on 3 acres 2 miles west of Custer on paved roads. It was once a camp for Gen Crook and we have pictures of that encampment. It has a large yard along with the ability to bike into town on sidewalks and short road conditions. The home is surrounded by 40 acres of woods, creek, and pasture for tranquil living. Corral and pasture for horses available with approval as well as a garage for that cherished antique car, motorcycles or game from a successful hunt. ( Additional charges apply.)

Shepherd's Wagons were originally built to shelter shepherds in remote grazing areas. These huts preserve the past while offering a cozy retreat. While you won’t be roughing it like the shepherds once did, you’ll still experience their way of life. Sit out on the large side deck or the covered front deck and enjoy the beautiful views of the valley with French Creek meandering through. The house sits on 40 acres and is surrounded by National Forest. You are in the heart of the Black Hills while still close to all the must see sites.

Black Hills Rambler-Tiny House

If you have ever wanted to try out "tiny living" our adorable tiny house is perfect. This hand built tiny home is situated on our family property, but away from the main house to give you the privacy you are looking for. While giving you the opportunity to unplug, the Rambler is surrounded by beautiful national forest but is also ideally located just 3.5 miles from the town of Custer, SD. Easy access to Hwy 16/385 and close to all the beauty that the Black Hills to offer.
