Great location for exploring and touring the Wye Valley, 3 miles from Ross on Wye and adjacent to the Forest of Dean. Perfect holiday cottage for all seasons with Cheltenham, Worcester, Hereford, Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff only an hours drive away. Walking, cycling, canoeing, kayaking, body boarding, Go Ape etc., lots of activities to choose from locally. We enjoy classic cars and this area is great for touring. Return to this popular cottage and relax in tranquil comfort. Level designated parking with easy access to the cottage which has a ground and first floor. Walled garden with ponds and fountains. Furnished glasshouse and 14 acres of parkland with fine specimen trees. Welcoming owners on hand. Happy to help with local info on the great choice of pubs/restaurants locally or advice and tips on itinerary. This is a great area to explore. Lea village is 1 mile away with a shop, pub and garage. The home is surrounded by arable farmland along with grazing sheep. There are great pubs in the surrounding villages offering excellent food, beer and cider. The market town of Ross on Wye is just 3 miles away offering an extensive choice of shops and great places to eat and drink. The cottage is located adjacent to the Forest of Dean. Picturesque Wye Valley and River Wye offer great walking/cycling/kayak experiences. EV charger/bike store. If during your stay you would like to go without driving there is a bus that runs during the day and stops at the end of our drive. In one direction the bus heads to Ross on Wye and Hereford and in the other to Gloucester and Cheltenham. We aim to offer a home from home with everything you need except for food (although we do have a freezer menu) Comfortable bed with crisp cotton bed linen, sumptuous duvet and fluffy white towels. Well Cottage is situated in Pontshill, a rural hamlet nestled under the Penyard hills, 4 miles from Ross-on-Wye. It is within easy reach of the market towns of Ledbury, Monmouth and Chepstow. The Cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester are within an hours drive. We are also fortunate to live close to the Forest of Dean, where Symonds Yat is a very popular tourist attraction. The Malvern hills are easily accessible; you can climb up to the Herefordshire Beacon from British Camp.
