History Lovers Old Town Walk
This is the ideal tour for anyone who wants to learn more than just the basics about Edinburgh's historic Old Town. You'll meet us in the heart of Old Town and enjoy a 2 hour guided walk through the town centre. This tour will have a bit of everything - you'll learn about the lives of some of the Old Town's most famous and infamous residents, and some gruesome, interesting, and entertaining stories about what the city has seen over the centuries. Along the way, we'll point out some of our favourite spots to pop in for a "wee dram" or pint, so you'll know just where to go once the tour is over! Most tours start after the crowds have died down so we have more space to explore Old Town. We limit the group size to 10 people, so it's still a personal experience and you'll be able to chat with your guide and ask questions. Our goal is for you to learn a bit about Edinburgh's history, and have a great time while doing it! Other things to note We'll do this tour rain or shine, so be sure to watch the weather and come prepared!
Whisky and Folklore
We meet on the iconic Royal Mile by the eminent Scottish thinker and drinker Adam Smith. It is then a short walk to one excellent whisky bar that we use. We have the entire upstairs area reserved for us, ensuring lots of space for the group. During the course of two hours we will sample four outstanding Single Malt Scotch Whiskies from the four major whisky producing regions of Scotland. We will discus some of the history of Scotland and explore the reasons as to why whisky is now so ingrained as a staple of Scottish culture and we have some great tales from Scotland and the world of whisky to share with you. Other things to note This tour departs promptly and we can not wait for guests who are late. You must meet us at our start point at least 15min before the tour departs to secure your space. People under the age of 18 are not permitted on this tour. This is due to licencing at the venue we use.

Meet the Hairies Highland Cows and Calves
Guests will be inspired by learning of the history and character of the Highland breed in the surroundings of the self-built Roundhouse. Then we will walk to the purpose built Meeting Barn (shared between humans and animals as in days past). We gather in the atrium of tall larch logs around the central hearth sharing stories about our animals, as our ancestors did in the forests of this land. You will meet the animals that are being hand reared and taught to walk for the shows and spectacles for which pedigree Highlanders go through their paces. You will be introduced to Baby and Boy -giant sweet-natured bullocks who adore being fed and talked to. Next, (weather permitting!;-)) you will see the main herd of breeding mothers with their babies -(the nearest thing to real-life teddy bears!)- and Dougie the timid, affectionate bull. Afterwards you can explore the pastures where the animals roam at large. At the end of the tour you are free to wander the farm under your own steam, or enjoy stunning walks in the immediate vicinity with magnificent photographic opportunities. For those wanting to deepen their understanding of the Highlanders, on-farm accommodation is available on Airbnb Crofthouse at the Roundhouse (sleeping up to 8) or Hairy Cow Studio (cosy for 1-2 people). It is not possible to supervise one-on-one contact with the animals; for this check out 'Hug a Hairy' :-)

Edinburgh - Dark History
Ah, Edinburgh! They don't call it "The Jekyll & Hyde City" for nothing. During the day, a respectable figure, with its astonishing architecture and wondrous history. But when the sun sets, it tells an entirely different story... We'll meet in front of St. Giles Cathedral, one of the most striking buildings in the city. But did you know that there was an execution place right in front of it? As we walk down the iconic Royal Mile, hear all about the darker history of Edinburgh: murderers, thieves, cannibals, hangings and decapitations, the Plague, streams of human waste, and the most notorious citizens of Edinburgh. We'll finish at the Canongate Kirkyard where, wandering amongst graves, you'll learn how ghost stories are born. This is not a ghost tour: we don't need costumes or people jumping from behind the corners: Edinburgh's Dark History itself is enough to make your skin crawl. And oh, how we love to share it with our visitors...
Edinburgh's Original Harry Potter Tour
After learning a spell or two, we start our tour in Edinburgh's historic Greyfriars Kirkyard where JK Rowling found several names for characters in the books. You'll learn who the world's worst poet was and which Hogwarts character is named after him as well as visiting the grave of Lord Voldemort himself. From here we'll also talk about two buildings that helped to inspire Hogwarts and of course give one lucky member of the group the chance to be sorted! From Greyfriars we'll take you out into the streets, past the suspiciously named Potterrow and on to three locations where JK Rowling wrote. We'll track her escalation of wealth from relying on free coffees from her brother-in-law in the Nicolson Cafe to trashing the most expensive hotel in the city, via the famous Elephant House. We conclude our tour on the real life Diagon Alley, better known by muggles as Victoria Street. This tour is highly interactive with a house point competition along the way and plenty of opportunities to ask our expert guides whatever you like. We are the original, biggest and highest-rated Harry Potter tour in Edinburgh. Currently ranked number 1 out of all Edinburgh Tours on TripAdvisor, featured in The Times, PBS and BBC Scotland, with nearly a decade's experience behind us - you will not be disappointed!

Find a hidden Glen in Scotland's woods
We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie. For those brave ones, who want to get further into the glen, you can roll up your pants and get into the water (warning: extremely cold) and walk along and see an amazingly mesmerising world in front of you. Other things to note A good head for heights is necessary as it involves climbing down some slippery stairs, holding onto some ropes and rocks
