This is a great family spot on a hot day. Enjoy the shallow, clean waters of Echo Lake. Part of Acadia National Park. You need a Park pass to park here. There are changing rooms and bathrooms right there. Bring a lunch with you. Lifeguards on duty.

This is a fun beach for kids and adults alike. There are bathrooms and changing stalls. Plus, a place to clean your feet before getting back in your car. There is also a hiking trail from this parking lot.

One of the few freshwater swimming holes with a sand beach on Mount Desert Island! Just outside of Southwest Harbor in Acadia National Park, this beach presents clean water, and great views of the Beech Cliffs. Take a dip after your hike?

Favorite among locals. Can get crowded. Water is a little cold even in summer. But people still swim. The kids don’t seem to mind
