The National White Water Centre is renowned for white water rafting and canoeing on the incredible River Tryweryn and opens its metaphorical doors to more than 50,000 adventurous visitors each year! Anyone wanting to come and get involved must of course be a confident swimmer who likes the water, without that firm base it's not going to be as enjoyable as it by rights should be! For the Rafting Safari all children must be 10 years old or over. For Rafting Full Sessions, Taster Sessions and Canyoning the minimum age is 12 years old. Then for the Tryweryn Special the minimum age is 14 years and for the Orcas and Tandem Kayaking the minimum age is 16 years. These age restrictions have all been made because of equipment size and safety, so are non negotiable. Canyoning is available for over 12s, which is an active scramble, slide and swim through the gorge that fit folk of all ages will enjoy
