wild sand dunes, stunning rice fields and over 60km of pristine, white-sand beaches here wildlife is abundant, time seems to stand still and one has the possibility to experience all that is genuine and authentic. Rich in cultural heritage, with a welcoming local population, great foods and wines.

Closest beach. It is beautiful all year road. In terms of parking it gets particularly busy on weekends in the summer, I tend to visit during the week or early mornings on weekends. Paid parking is available and makes it much easier. This is right by the beach, drive until the end of the road. The beach is part of 70km sand strip with several beaches along the way. If you walk from each beach you can find secluded empty areas. In the last few years it became famous with the stars, Princess Caroline, Louboutin, Stark, Madonna, Monica Bellucci. Thankfully unlike Algarve the area is still very unspoiled due to building regulations. Let's hope it lasts.
