Occasional live music, everything from Ska, Rock to Classical,plus Theatre Events. Small bar with at least one real ale.

Breakfast and Lunch- fresh and homemade- best coffee for miles; Wood Fired Pizza nights most Fridays; Busy and popular Sunday Lunches with proper Vege/Vegan options; Friendly helpful Staff; Licensed. During Lockdown they created lots of lovely outside seating which is a real bonus.
The Lost Arc is also Rhayader's emerging go to Music/Arts venue, run by two crazily enthusiastic ex teachers they are converting a former cinema/supermarket into an exciting new venue. We have had, Folk, jazz Ska, Hip hop, Reggae, Shakespeare, Songs from the Shows etc and all the acts have been of the highest calibre. You are more than likely to see us down there! Best place to start for information, activities, bike hire, walks and Cafeteria. They also have a stunning new playground which is far too good for kids..(well they might disagree..) the Zip Wire is excellent. Their website is worth checking out for programme of events.

Well just the most beautiful place! And 'Winter, Spring Summer or Fall' it changes character.. Pippa prefers Autumn and I love the spring! Totally unspoilt lakes and mountains linked by an ingenious Victorian dam system. You can walk (from stroll to adventurous), jog/run, cycle, (mtb-road bike) or drive. It has the Elan Valley Trail- up to 18 miles of relatively flat family friendly cycling. Then there is the wild life; Red Kites, Red Starts, Peregrines, Buzzards, Ravens, Flycatchers etc. Fishing of course, native Brown Trout and Stocked Rainbows, Dark Sky Reserve...stunning star-scapes in crystal clear skies. Well I could go on, but just come and see for yourselves!
