Tywyn is just 6 miles from Rhoslefain, reachable by car, bus, train or on foot by taking the Tonfannau route over the Bailey Bridge for a scenic walk or cycle.
Tywyn is a small Victorian town known for its beautiful run of beach, its home to the Talyllyn Railway and history.

Beautiful little Hamlet on the A493 between Dolgellau and Tywyn.
Rhoslefain is a peaceful home to a small community were we live. There are many walks and the coastal path goes right through the middle of the little valley.
It has views of the sea from nearly every point and rolling farm land.
for those who enjoy walking and cycling or riding their horses there are many footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways that lead to as far as cader Idris and Dolgellau. Tonfannau is a short walk to the train station, the Quarry, Tonfannau old army camp, The Bailey Bridge that leads to Tywyn. Many stunning walks and views for all to share.
From here you can see the sun rise to the sunset, there is little if no light pollution to do some star spotting.
when the sun sets it appears to sink into the sea, then when all is dark you can see the Twinkle of the lighthouse out at Ynys Enlli.
on clear days Ynys Enlli and the Llyn Penninsular are in view.
Dolphuns and seal can be spotted all around this coast line. On Tonfannau beach seals and their pups are often seen in the shoreline of the Dysynni Estuary.
There are many historical points to see and Rhoslefain still has the very old road signs.
The winding Road through the Hamlet takes you round Cae Du to the road to Llwyngwril where amazing view points allow.you to stop.and relax and watch the sea.

Tywyn to Barmouth return was Approx 7.00. You can walk or drive to Tonfannau station for the requested stop. please just put your hand out clearly when the train is approaching to request your stop! fabulous station to catch the train on leaving ypur car safely by the entrance opposite.
