Hello there! We are your hosts Alison and James and this is our story.

We met 10 years ago at Closs Crossing Guest House, back then the Guest House was a very outdated cottage in need of some serious TLC. I (Alison) bought the cottage when I moved home from Waterloo, ON and I had a vision... which required a very talented carpenter, and this is where James enters our story:).

Born and raised in Lanark County and living only a few minutes away on the farm he grew up on, James was willing and able to take on any task.

With his wonderful carpenter skills and my passion for interior design, together we built and opened Closs Crossing Guest House in 2019. In 2022 we decided one Airbnb wasn't enough and opened The Loft. Very exciting!

And so, it gives us great pleasure to share our beautiful properties with you, we hope you love them as much as we do!
