Casa Revive is located in a quiet neighborhood in the foothills of El Yunque National Forest. You will find plenty of outdoor living space to relax and admire the views and sounds of nature. Relax in the large living room and cook local recipes in the large chef's kitchen. The principal bedroom features a king size bed, futon, and ensuite bath. There are two smaller bedrooms just across from another full bath. Wifi & AC in all bedrooms. Home equipped with generator and water tank.

The home has been renovated in a classic Spanish hacienda style to make you feel at home. Much of the furniture was custom built just for this home. You will find several different areas to rest and relax, both inside and out. The back patio area features a covered terrace with bistro lighting so you can enjoy the outdoors night and day, and rain or shine. The house is located in the country next to El Yunque Rainforest, you can truly experience the local nature. You can expect to hear lots of sounds from the Coqui, birds, and even chickens! You will also see a lot of wildlife including several species of lizards and reptiles, many birds, and naturally a few insects as well. The patio door has been fitted with a screen to minimize flies and mosquitos in the house.

Each bedroom has its own AC unit for maximum comfort. There is also an AC unit in the kitchen to keep the living space comfortable as well. There is usually a light breeze here so the outdoor areas are generally pleasant as well.

There is a strong wifi signal throughout the house as well as the covered terrace. If you do need to get some work done during your stay, you should have no problem.

There is a large TV in the living room as well as TV's in 2 of the bedrooms. All TV's are equipped with Roku.

The home has a full size generator and back up water supply to ensure you have a relaxing stay even during power outages.

This home is a perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking, swimming and enjoying the island. You will experience living in the rain forest. While it does rain often, most of the time the rain showers are brief, and usually followed by sunny skies. When the sky is clear at night, you will see plenty of stars.

I have been an Airbnb host for several years and will be available to ensure you have a great stay. We can also provide plenty of recommendations for things to do, places to visit, and local dining options. We will also be offering experiences to make your stay better.

This home was one of many that was abandoned after Hurricane Maria in 2017. We spend a full year living in and working on the property to create a warm, inviting environment. The name Casa Revive both represents our efforts to revive the home as well as the feelings of personal reviving we felt when living and working here.

Casa Revive also took on another meaning as we worked hard to use all of the materials we had available. We re-used many items and strived to use all of the materials we had available. Much of the furniture was built by Nathan using materials left over from the rebuilding of the home. These items include the kitchen island, bench seating in the kitchen, as well as bookcases and all of the beds. The full size bed features a headboard made from small scraps of wood that I essentially quilted to create a unique design. All of the furniture in the Queen Bedroom was made from recycled pallets. Even the barn door for the master bathroom was made from an old shower door and left over wood.

We hope that you will feel the same sense of revival after staying in our home.

Our neighborhood, Colinas Del Yunque, is a small family oriented area. This area is known for its breath taking views of El Yunque Rain Forest. It is a short drive into the National Park, local rivers for swimming, and much more. Since this is a family oriented neighborhood, please be mindful of noise and street parking especially after dark. This is a perfect home to relax and enjoy nature. But there are a lot of working families here so please be mindful about noise after dark.

I am a man of many passions. I enjoy working with my hands, building things as well as repairs. I am also an artist. My primary medium is abstract photography, but I also like creating other products from my designs. You can find several of my abstract photos in our rental homes.

I relocated to Puerto Rico from Palm Springs CA in fall of 2020. I spent the past year renovating a home while living at the property. It was a very rewarding experience learning about renovations and buildings in the Caribbean. Now that the house is complete, it is now available to rent.

I designed and remodeled the house as if it were my forever home. I love to cook, so I put a lot of thought into the kitchen. If you enjoy cooking for your family and friends, I'm sure you will enjoy preparing a meal here. My partner and I are also available to host a cooking experience if you would like to learn about preparing local dishes!

My Spanish is not the best, but I can read Spanish better than I can speak. My partner is Puerto Rican and he is available if you would prefer to speak with him. Either way, we will make sure you have a great stay. We have both worked in vacation rentals and hotels for several years and we understand the importance of being available and responsive.
