This condo is located in the Shanty Creek Resort area. While this is private lodging and you won’t be considered a guest of the resort, many amenities such as restaurants are open to the public and skiing and golf are available for a fee. The condo is less than 15 minutes from downtown Bellaire, where you can enjoy shopping, dining and of course a trip to the famous Short’s Brewery. Enjoy nearby access to beaches on Lake Michigan, Torch Lake and the Chain of Lakes. Hikers and mountain bikers of all abilities will love the beautiful nearby Glacial Hills, with over 30 miles of wooded trails. You are centrally located to dozens of options for perfect Up North day trips including Elk Rapids (40 minutes), Charlevoix (45 minutes), Traverse City (50 minutes).

Hi! I’m Deirdre. I live in beautiful Leelanau County with my husband, 2 kiddos and our pup.

My husband and I got together with a few of our friends and started the Windcatch Group. Together we share a passion for nature, real estate and hospitality and we are thrilled to host guests visiting Northern Michigan. We aim to provide 5 star stays for our guests and pride ourselves in clear communication, impeccably clean spaces and thoughtful touches throughout our properties.

I’ve lived in the area for about six years (by way of San Francisco; Manzanillo, Mexico; Miami and Chicago) and my husband was born and raised here. We are obsessed with being outside and enjoying the lakes, hiking trails and breathtaking landscape that this region has to offer. We love sharing recommendations and local tips with our guests. We also love to travel ourselves and constantly draw inspiration from other hosts and properties. It’s great to be part of the Airbnb community!

I am here to answer any questions about our properties or about your trip. Need directions to a quiet beach? A recommendation for the best glass of dry Riesling? My favorite winter activities?
