Rumah Bajo is a two-storey bungalow with one bedroom, bathroom, lounge/dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom leads out to a private garden sitting area and direct access to the swimming pool.

Nestled between a river and the rice fields, Rumah Semanggi is a little village of boutique bungalows. Set in a lush tropical garden, with a deep natural stone swimming pool, Rumah Semanggi is a peaceful haven for travellers exploring Bali.

Ambienti
Designed by a Dutch architect, each bungalow fuses Indonesian and European design aesthetics. Living spaces all feature private seating areas for quiet time out. While a large common area is for socialising and getting to know other guests.

Only 10 minutes away from central Ubud, Rumah Semanngi offers a retreat from the hustle & bustle of the town centre. An array of local & world-class restaurants are in walking distance from the bungalows. Some of Ubud's most famous rice field walks are on the doorstep—perfect for early morning or late afternoon strolls.

A small kitchen serves-up breakfast, lunch, drinks & snacks each day. This means you don't have to leave the bungalows if lazy days by the pool are what you're after.

A short 2 minute walk away & you are in the village of Penestanan. Walking along the path you'll see local people putting out their offering or see them walking to their temple ceremonies. This is a very relaxed village where you can stop for a smile, a small chat. There many great local warungs (restaurants) for sitting back & relaxing in.

Hello, my name is Summa & alongside my husband Roberto we manage Rumah Semanggi.

We love exploring this amazing archipelago, discovering the diverse cultures on each of the islands, tasting the local dishes & where there is water you'll find us under it as we both love diving. When we are not out exploring you may find me painting in my studio, Roberto taking photos or us both out walking our dogs.

Rumah Semanggi is such a special place, nestled between a little river & the ricefields. While only ten minutes from central Ubud & walking distance to an array of cafe & restaurants in vibrant Penestanan, you also feel away from it all. In our tropical garden, you'll find rabbits, turtles, some friendly dogs, endless birds & butterflies & if you're lucky you'll spot the Javanese Blue Kingfisher as he flys through the riverside jungle.

Rumah Semanggi offers privacy to those who need it, but also a community to connect with if you're a solo traveller, we have some long-stay residents who also call Rumah Semanggi home & all of us would be happy to share our local tips for Ubud, Bali & also the rest of Indonesia.
