A Bearable Cabin is a fantastic place for a couple’s getaway or a small family vacation.

Ambienti
The layout of this cabin is ideal, with a generous king bed and flat screen tv on the main level and full bath (shower only) just across the hall. Upstairs in the loft area is a comfy Queen size log bed, with a television as well. Fully stocked kitchen if you enjoy eating in with full size appliances. Large living room with corners fireplace. Flat screen tv and relaxing furnishings.
Enjoy some outdoor time on the covered porch or dining deck. Grill out and enjoy dinner outside as well. Just across the driveway is a very small creek at the edge of the firepit. Roast some marshmallows and enjoy story time!

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, this Northeast Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. We've got shopping, camping, both rustic and luxury mountain cabins, restaurants, theater, recreation, romantic getaways, beautiful scenery, family activities, waterfalls, museums, history, art, fishing, tubing, golf, and more. Something for every member of the family.

Festivals and special events include a hot air balloon race, Winefest, Volksmarch, Oktoberfest and Christmas parades, Fourth of July fireworks, and Bavarian Nights of Summer. From mid-September through October, Helen hosts the longest Oktoberfest in the South. Alpenfest offers entertainment during the Holiday season from Thanksgiving through December.
