This "room" feels more of a house, as it is two storey, has a kitchen, living room area, loft and porch. Like all other rooms, there is solar energy for water and power, rain water usage + 17,000 sqm of nature around it. Also a 32" LED TV with HD Movies. Free Wifi or you can connect through your Globe (4G+) or Smart (3G HSDPA) device with confirmed speeds up to 42mpbs.

Ambienti
You will be surrounded by tropical forest, fruit trees and our thousands of insect eating plants (free guided tour in the morning if owner is available). You can sample our fruits at no charge if available. There are hiking trails nearby and several mountains that can be climbed without need for transportation.
You room doesn't have or need aircon as it gets cold at night (14-19 C) and usually stays below 30 C during daytime. There is hot water powered 100% by solar even on rainy days. Our toilets are flushed with rain water. Be inspired on how to provide a comfortable stay with minimal impact on nature.

Malaybalay City, Northern Mindanao, Filipine

Cool climate, much better than the famous beaches! :) Cicades, frogs, owls, tons of nature experience. Our farm feels far off civilization and is a bit cooler than Malaybalay, but actually we are just a short 3km busride from the next mall. Malaybalay City has a perfect size, not too big to suffocate in traffic, not too small to be boring. Lots of cafes and restaurants to try!
For sightseeing, there is horse riding, waterfalls, mountains (among others the 2nd highest of the Phils), birdwatching, spring resorts, a zoo, adventure parks and the famous monastery of the transfiguration nearby.

A German scientist of horticultural engineering that liked the Philippines so much that he didn't want to leave any more. His hobby are insect eating plants, which turned now to his livelihood, aside to the here mentioned guest house and doing business in renewable energies.
He is living with his Filipina wife in their favorite place of the Philippines: The cool highlands of Bukidnon! Imagine a province on aircon! :-)

I give my guests space but am available when needed
We live in the building next to our guest house and can be seen/talked to during day time, unless we are traveling ourselves, then we will be available through video chat. We are a German/Filipino family based homestay, so you are dealing mostly with the owners personally and most people learn a bit about plants and renewable energies during their stay if they want to :)
