We follow VT Covid measures in booking our two-story in-law apartment with a private entrance that is attached to our 1850 Poultney Village home. We are located a block away from Main Street with shops, books, and eateries. We are in the lakes region of Vermont, close to both Lake St. Catherine and Lake Bomoseen. Killington is 35 miles away. We are also located a mile from the NY border and the entrance to Lake George and the Adirondacks.

Our apartment is suitable for up to two adults. The bedroom and bath are upstairs. Linens and bedding for our queen-sized bed will be supplied. The bath contains a porcelain bathtub shower.

Downstairs has a kitchen and a sitting room that has a small futon and a couple of chairs. The kitchen area contains a small refrigerator with a freezer, a sink, and an apartment-sized stove. You can find our cast-away cookery there, as well as dishes and utensils.

Our guests are letting us know that our Internet connection is spotty. Our house is old and our walls are thick. We also do not have a television in the apartment. We have placed our iPod and its base station on the bookshelves. It is loaded with its 1,947 songs, so if you so choose, we hope that you find a few selections for your listening pleasure!

Poultney Village is small-town Vermont. Our tavern and restaurants are walkable and accommodate COVID restrictions and offer take-out and eat-in reservations. Our region has a newly maintained rail trail, our own Slate Valley Trail System, and literally miles of trails and dirt roads, all accessible from our neighborhood. And minutes away to our south is Lake St. Catherines and to our North, Lake Bomoseen.

We are a couple of college professors who have been married for 39 years and happen to have a little apartment attached to our house we would like to share. We can be as hands-off as you need. We love having guests, and we live in a beautiful part of the world that is worth sharing. We are originally from Southeastern Pennsylvania, and we have owned our old home here in Poultney for twelve years. We love to cook, listen to Jazz and the Phillies. We love to walk our local trails with our Aussie rescue named Zeta. We love to camp, and we often travel by car with the goal of ending up in places that are much like the one that we are offering you: unique, interesting, full of things to do, and not too pricey!
