I am a former elementary teacher, inventor & entrepreneur, mom and wife; and this was the former Beauty Shop of my Aunt Janie that is located on the property where the home of my grandparents lived for 60 years and one that I spent a lot of time here as I grew up. The bigger 3 bedroom house located on the same property (The Good Ol' Days House) was literally 'frozen' in time when I purchased it in 2008 then totally renovated & restored the home highlighting decades of the 1950s, 60s & 70s. Its been called a cultural museum of those decades past and allows its guests to enjoy days gone by in a comfortable and cozy private setting.....just like staying at Grandma's house when you were a kid. Now you can bring your kids and grandkids for a journey back to the good ol' days at The Good Ol' Days House! We have been featured in PITTSBURGH MAGAZINE June 2009, on WQED Pittsburgh 360 as Dave Crawley (Reporter) shared with viewers this totally unique time machine house and are currently featured in the Columbia Gas of PA Commerical "Greatest Generation" TV Commerical!
