10, Nautical Mile - as the name suggests, this is a Mountain Cottage of a Mariner. This has been made out of love for the mountains and a wish to slow down the pace of life. Ideal for family and 'me' time, this is a home away from a home; tucked away in the lush green forest 16 km away from the cantonment Town of Ranikhet at Uttarakhand.

We presently have our access road unavailable for vehicles , requiring walking the last 150m down a reasonably steep path.

10, Nautical Mile Mountain Cottage is just beyond the charming hill station of Ranikhet.

The USP of this place is clean, crisp mountain air with solitude. The majestic Himalayan views and greenery can be enjoyed in the cosy cottage, hwith a garden and a private Gazebo with an unimpeded view. A wide range of modern amenities are made available to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each of the 3 rooms can be booked individually as well. Booking two rooms come with the added attraction of a private attic for the kids!!

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with approximately 230 square feet of private space.

Attention: Due to the recent rains in Oct 2021, the access road to the cottage has got damaged. This now mandates the guests to walk the last 150 meter along a slightly tricky path. However, it is safe but would be challenging for old guests and those with mobility issues.

Our life has taken us to many a new places and it has inculcated an urge to explore. Travelling to new places and interacting with people is a passion for us. Mountains have always had a strange , unexplained pull for both of us and we have followed religiously !!

This cottage has been our labour of love and thats what we would love people to explore and help make rich experiences....... We would truly want to get a few of you to join this tribe of insatiable wanderers that we love belonging to.

We believe in personal interaction with the guests; as would be desired and feasible by them. We might not be there during your stay always, but would closely monitor to ensure your comfort.

This is our holiday home so we will not be there at all times. However, our caretaker/cook are always on site and will clean and cook on a daily basis. We would be happy to provide meals as per your palette and our menu, albeit with associated charges (reasonable always)
