Rosewood Park is situated on 10 picturesque acres in Yarragon South. This fully appointed, tastefully decorated large self-contained guest suite with breathtaking views of the Baw Baw Ranges is set in a magnificent botanical garden.

Rosewood Park is just 90 minutes by car or train from Melbourne. Conveniently located only 2.5 kms from Yarragon village, relax in this peaceful and tranquil setting or use it as your base from which to explore everything on offer in Gippsland.

Rosewood Park is a perfect for couples or friends looking for that country getaway experience within easy reach. Offering comfort, convenience, privacy and a peaceful, tranquil our spacious guest suite is ideal for two adults however we can accommodate three. This fully self contained and independent air conditioned suite includes a queen size bed with electric blanket and the option to sleep another on the comfortable sofa in the living room or on a queen size floor mattress. The bathroom includes a toilet, huge shower, large vanity and mirror, divine fluffy towels and hairdryer. Dine in using the fully functioning kitchen to prepare that something special for breakfast, lunch and dinner or if cooking isn't on the menu, head downtown on foot, bike or car to an assortment of cafes or the well known Yarragon Pub for a drink or meal. It's just 2.5 kms away.

Yarragon is located between between Warragul and Trafalgar and is one of only two towns not bypassed by the Princes Highway between Melbourne and the Latrobe Valley.

Yarragon is very much a tourist town, with an interesting selection of antique shops, craft shops, galleries and cafes attracting many visitors.

Attractive gardens, pathways, shelters and a large rotunda provide a buffer between the busy highway and the variety of speciality shops and attractions that Yarragon has to offer.

The Strzelecki Ranges provide a scenic backdrop to Yarragon, with much of the land around the town devoted to dairy farms. A short drive south along the road to Leongatha climbs the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, and scenic views can be enjoyed from many spots along the road.

Slow down and relax among the rolling green hills and explore some of the region's best antique shops, art galleries and restaurants.

Wandering around town
Browse through specialty antique stores and fashion boutiques, discover an art lover's haven, or find a holiday read at an eclectic bookstore. Fossick through bric-a-brac collections looking for treasures, find that special gift for someone back home, or discover exquisite blown-glass vases and sculptures made by local artists.

Eating and drinking
After a morning of shopping, quieten the kids down with a visit to the lolly shop before spoiling yourself with a Devonshire tea at a local cafe. Spend the afternoon exploring the outstanding nearby wineries. Sumptuous smoked meats and fresh local produce, including award-winning cheeses from Tarago River and Jindi, can be purchased at the Gippsland Food and Wine Store.

I have travelled extensively over the years. I'd have to say one of my favorite destinations was Turkey and the Gallipoli experience. It's hard to find the words to describe it to be honest. Anyone who has been there will know what I mean. But it's always great to get back home.

These days home is where the heart is. My beautiful home, dog, horses and cows are my life. I'm very home orientated nowadays and who wouldn't be living at Rosewood Park. When you come and stay you'll know what I mean.

My time is spent between working in my home office at Rosewood Park, riding my horse, working around the property and spending quality time with my animals.

Rosewood Park is home to Horse Sit Stay, another business venture of mine. I provide a holiday horse sitting and horse stay service from our beautiful 10 acre property in Yarragon. Horse owners going on holiday or away on business can book short-term agistment for their horse at Rosewood Park or I care for their horse at their own home.

And now we're opening up my home to guests. I'm confident a stay at Rosewood Park, Yarragon South will be most memorable and have you coming back for more. The fully self contained, tastefully furnished suite is the ultimate escape to the country. Only 120km from Melbourne along the Princess Freeway the drive is easy and quick with no traffic lights until you reach Yarragon. From the turnoff at Yarragon village, it's just another short and easy 2.5 km drive south on flat bitumen road to Rosewood Park.

The suite at Rosewood Park offers a unique experience. The panoramic vista of Yarragon township and the Baw Baw ranges beyond is nothing short of magnificent. In fact I would go as far as to say it's unbeatable. Surrounded by a magnificent botanical garden setting and on 10 acres of farmland, Rosewood Park offers a diverse range of tourism experiences within close proximity.

Walk to bike ride into town for along the Yarragon Trail which passes our front gate. Enjoy brunch or lunch at one of the numerous eateries and cafes or simply browse through the array of shops in Yarragon village. I guarantee you won't leave town empty handed.

My philosophy in life is to treat people the way I want to be treated. This is no more so reflected than in the quality of service and venue on offer to guests at Rosewood Park.
