Situated in a tropical paradise surrounded by rainforest, yet very close to the beach, so close in fact you can hear the waves lapping the shore. It's private and peaceful with ocean and island views that are breathtaking.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday with family or friends, special occasion get togethers, romantic couples retreat or girls getaway.

To take your luxury holiday up a level we also offer a range of add-ons to make your stay as relaxing as possible, these include:

* pampering essentials - relaxing or therapeutic treatments in the privacy of our poolside relaxation studio with our massage & spa therapist;

* selection of hampers and platters - designed around some of the amazing local produce available in Mission Beach and Far North Queensland.

About the house:
The driveway up to the house, winds up the hill through the rainforest and the view at the top is well worth it. Entering through the double doors into the main living area you will be amazed at the spectacular ocean views that stretch out beyond the terrace and over the rainforest treetops.

The main living area includes a comfortable sofa, a large TV, sound bar and DVD player with Apple TV, for when you need a break from the view. An eight seater dining table allows you to enjoy meals with a beautiful rainforest backdrop.

Alternatively, take your meals out on the terrace overlooking the beach and islands, an outdoor kitchen is equipped with a pizza oven and Weber BBQ. A few steps below the terrace is the pool surrounded by rainforest and those ocean views. The pool has seats built in around three sides, a great place to hang out in the afternoon watching the sunset. It is also an Enviroswim pool, which means it produces water that is cleaner, fresher and feels like swimming in a mountain stream. (i.e no chlorine smell or residue).

There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop, oven, microwave, toaster, jug, built in steamer and Nespresso and Miele coffee machines. Other appliances include soda stream, nutri-bullet, sandwich maker, popcorn maker and ice cream maker. There's a fully stocked pantry with complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, flour, condiments, cooking oil, herbs and spices.

Sleeping configurations:
All configurations have access to the main living area, powder room, kitchen, laundry, double garage, courtyard, pool area, terrace with day bed, outdoor dining and kitchen including BBQ and pizza oven.

2 guests - Master suite
Watch the sunrise each morning over Dunk Island from the luxury of your king size bed. The master is spacious with its own sitting area, walk in robe and ensuite with a large luxury spa bath, double vanities and a huge double shower room.
Note: For 1-2 guests, bedroom 2 & 3 and family room will be closed.

3-4 guests - Master suite plus bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 is located on the east side of the Villa and can be configured as either a king bed or 2 long single beds. This room also has its own ensuite and walk in robe with picturesque views to the rainforest and gardens beyond. Note: For 3-4 guests - bedroom 3 and family room will be closed.

5+ guests - Master bedroom, bedroom 2, plus bedroom 3, family room/bedroom 4 and 2nd kitchen.

To the left of the entrance is another wing, this includes another living area for reading, TV, games or listening to music. This living space looks out onto the courtyard garden and has sofas that convert into 2 single beds or a king bed. There is a powder room close by and guests using this room will share one of the bedroom ensuites for showers. The family room leads into a second kitchen area, great for when sharing with families or groups of friends and another fridge or preparation space is needed. Walk through to bedroom 3 with a queen size bed, ensuite, walk in robe.

Note: the full house is open for 5+ guests.

Whilst we list 8 guests, the Villa is quite spacious and we can accommodate additional guests, if you have a larger group. We have 2 foldaway beds and a porta-cot. Let us know when booking and we can increase the number of guests allowed.

Other areas:
The laundry is equipped with a washing machine and separate dryer. There is a clothes line and drying racks.

There is also a double garage and another parking bay at the front of the house.

South Mission Beach, Queensland, Australi

South Mission Beach has a long sandy beach that stretches for miles and is directly opposite Dunk Island, there is boat and jet ski hire near near the surf club and stinger nets. At South Mission Beach there is also a great Thai restaurant and a local fish & chip shop at the caravan park, and the surf club.

Wongaling Beach is about 5 mins drive, with Woolworths and bottle shop, restaurants including Millers Beach Bar and Grill. You will also find the water taxi opposite the beach which can take you over to Dunk Island for day trips.

North Mission Beach is another 5 minutes drive where you will find shops, galleries, cafes and bars.

I live and work in Darwin these days, enjoying a relaxed lifestyle here, with my partner and 2 dogs. Holidays are spent at Villa Amavi as often as I can, spending time with family and friends, enjoying a good meal and glass of wine, and taking time to soak up the amazing views in this beautiful part of Australia.

I enjoy travelling and know the importance of having the comforts of home around you when your away from home and this is what I've tried to create in my South Mission Beach holiday home.

As a host I appreciate good communication and will do what I can to make your stay as pleasant as possible, including providing kitchen and bathroom essentials. As a guest I am quiet, considerate and respectful of other people's privacy and their homes and as a host I appreciate the same from my guests.

I have an amazing host assistant, Jodie, who lives close by and will make sure everything is setup and ready for your arrival. I hope you enjoy the peace and quiet of the home, the rainforest and those amazing views as much as I do. I look forward to hosting you soon.
