As part of Airbnb commitments to serve all stakeholders, some homes can be highlighted on their listing page as energy efficient. Those homes are identified through the Energy Performance Certificate, a standard certificate delivered in different countries of the European Union. Energy Performance Certificates are delivered following an in-person home inspection, and they provide an objective and quantifiable measure of the energy performance of a home. Energy Performance Certificates range from A (very efficient) to G (least efficient). Only A and B homes qualify for this program. Airbnb updates this status using the address of the home and open data provided by the ministry of environment from each country.
