Designed by Northwest modernist architect Saul Zaik, Holzhutte is a mid-century modern Cedar Chalet built on Mt. Hood in 1966. The house was a predecessor to Zaik's 1968 addition to world-famous Timberline Lodge, a direct hike up the mountain. Located in Government Camp, Mt. Hood's alpine village, it is only steps away to hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and XC skiing, as well as all of the amenities of the Village. For skiers, one can ski directly back to the cabin from Timberline.
Our cozy modern pet-friendly cabin has been remodeled top to bottom. It has an open floor plan and will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is a full sized bed located in the loft, plus two twin size sofa beds in the living room. Sandy Ridge Trail is right around the corner, Wildwood Park is just across the way, and Mt Hood is a short 15 minute drive. Close to some great Eats and Drinks.
Coziest & cutest cabin in the village of Government Camp. Truly a rare gem in a superb location. Quick walk to historic Government Camp, restaurants, stores, and Ski Bowl Adventure Park. Short drive to the ski resorts, mountain lakes, scenic hikes & bike trails. Oversized and super steamy hot tub is the ultimate place to unwind after a long day taking in the mountain.
