Ride with a Local - Auckland eBike tour
Learn about life for the locals in Auckland - all from the comfort of an electric bike. Escape the tourist trail and zip around the city’s beautiful waterfront and it's cool central neighborhoods on this 2.5 hour electric bike guided tour. Find out where the locals go to socialize and to enjoy the beautiful natural environment in and around our city. Starting from the Park Hyatt Auckland (see the Notes and Meeting Location on where to find us), we'll ride up a nearby cycleway to check out Karangahape Road (known as "K Road" by the locals) - learning about its edgy past and promising future. Then it's on to Ponsonby - one of the best places to eat, drink and shop in Auckland. We'll check out some other local neighbourhoods too, before heading back down to sea level, to cruise along the waterfront and check out the delights of Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct. And at the end of the tour, I'll give you a list of my favourite cafes, restaurants and bars around the central city - many of which we'll have cycled past! Plenty of options for you to try out during the rest of your stay in this amazing city. PLEASE NOTE - if you can't find availability for this tour on the date you are looking for, we recommend you check out our other Auckland eBike tour with Airbnb Experiences: "Sky to Sea" - https://abnb.me/NyUmFWofuX?s=51 Other things to note: Minimum height is 5 foot (152cm).
NZ Native Forest Therapy Walk
The perfect way to discover the NZ forest during this relaxing nature immersion experience. We will meet on the steps of the Auckland Museum, with fantastic ocean views out to the Auckland Harbour and Hauraki Gulf. We will introduce each other and I will discuss the history of this beautiful park - one of Auckland's extinct volcanos and a Maori living and hunting ground. Next we will walk further into the park and begin with a nature meditation designed to connect and open you to the magic of nature. A delightful stream and waterfall meet us on our journey. I will walk you through a series of gentle sensory invitations, designed to open you to the beauty and magic of nature. We will smell, touch, breathe, experience, gaze at and get to know the beings that live in this special place. We will finish the experience with an informal tea ceremony with native herb tea and snacks. Other things to note The walk will be slow, a moderate level of fitness is required. Not suitable for wheel chairs. If it is a rainy day the tour will go ahead and will be adapted to suit.

Lush Forest Hike with Sunset Views
This is an incredible hike in the Totara Park area, only 25 km from Downtown Auckland. We will be hiking through lush native forest, where over 150 native plant species, and many bird species, flourish. The hike will include visiting a stream, a waterfall and beautiful views. I will share with you secret insights, information, and the history of the area as well as including information about our native plants and birds. When we have completed our forest walk we will walk to a lookout on the outside of the Park, where we often have visibility of around 50 kilometres in most directions. Our arrival at this lookout is timed so that you can enjoy the wide views and then the sunset. If the weather is fine, we will witness a magnificent sunset over the Manukau Heads, 35 kilometres to the West. Shortly after sunset we will walk for 5-10 minutes back to our cars. Or, if you prefer you can easily arrange an Uber or taxi to take you to the Manukau Train Station or back to town. The experience is available in most weather conditions, but if it is very rainy parts of the forest path can become muddy. For your safety, we reserve the right to vary the route within the park. Other things to note: We will be walking around 6 kilometres and the terrain is hilly. The pace will be one that works for you, but you will need to be reasonably fit.
Hidden Green Oasis In the City
We'll meet near Sylvia Park and then we will take a secret path to Hamlins Hill (known as Mutukaroa in Maori). One moment you'll be in a typical urban area, and the next you'll be surrounded by lush greenery. The sudden change between two different worlds will be pleasantly surprising. I will lead you through the forest and then up to open hilltop farmland areas. On our way I will show you how European settlers and Maori communities, from long ago, used this special place. We head further up to a bench where we can sit and take in the panoramic views. From the top you can see the North Shore, Sky Tower, Manukau Heads and many other places. Hamlins Hill is one of the few "hills" in Auckland that is not a volcano. Because it is so close to busy areas many people don't even notice it but I think it's a gem and a lovely green place to visit, near the City. Once you've taken photos and had a look at the panoramic views, I'll lead you back down the hill, back through the forest and then to Sylvia Park, or close by. Other things to note The experience goes ahead in most weathers so please dress warm or cold or in wet weather gear, depending on the weather. Please bring water. I can't wait to meet you to show you this special place. Sylvia Park is a short train ride or car trip from Central Auckland.

Shows happen every Friday & Saturday in this period beginning as the sun sets. With intimate groups of 10, we will go on a galactic journey that sparks inspiration and invites curiosity. We will start with the basics and slowly transition into deep cosmology as the day transitions into night, allowing easygoing showgoers to relax and chat while creating space for budding astronomers. >> Show goers must accept that it is impossible to guarantee full clarity, ideal skies, or visibility of certain objects.
